Scientific
research on Bioenergy and its testing
As with most human development, progress is made with discovery and
research. Although Chinese medical pratitioners had known about human energy for millennia and treated it through
acupuncture points, in the West a more scientific approach to human energy definition, measurement and treatment did not
really develop until the 1950s with the research of Dr. Reinhold Voll, a German medical doctor.

The research of Dr. Reinhold Voll established that there is a network of energy channels,
called meridians, flowing through the body and points along these can be used to detect energetic data. They
are called Meridian points.
Dr Voll demonstrated that the body's organs are associated with different energy
meridians. Imbalances in various organs are believed to manifest themselves as energetic disturbances in the
associated meridians.
Voll also showed that these energetic meridians are also highly responsive to external
stressors, almost immediately. Bioenergy measuring is carried out by virtue of such meridian points. |
Dr. Voll also developed an electronic testing device for finding acupuncture points
electrically.
He was successful in locating energy reading points inhumans and demonstrating that these
points had a different resistance to a tiny electrical current passed through the body, than did the adjacent

meridian points is significantly greater than the surrounding tissue.
